HALLOWEEN MAKEUP 1!
Just been playing around with makeup since it’s almost halloween and I have taken a whole lot of inspiration from the famous special effects artist Rick Baker. He has collaborated with M.A.C and created 3 halloween makeups which I am going to take as inspiration to create my own looks ^__^
This is my Day of the Dead makeup that I had a go with today, It’s a bit sketchy because I was in a rush towards the end but oh well. All of the products I used are M.A.C which I will list below:
Chromacake - White
Kohl Pencil : Feline
Fluidline : Blacktrack
Pigments : Magenta Madness
Pigments : Copper Sparkle
Prep + Prime Transparent finishing powder
Lipliner : Magenta
FIX + spritz
I posted a really brief picture of this on my other blog but I decided to post this one because you can see the full image. PINK BROWS! Well I have decided to definitely start doing this for work to hopefully inspire people to be different….after all it is only makeup and it wipes away clean ^___^.
To create these super amazing eyebrows:
Flick Candy Yum-Yum lipstick through the front of the brows with #208 brush.
Use Magenta Lip pencil to sharpen and fill in the brow
Using a #263 brush blend the two together using Dainty Mineralize Blush. This will also set the lipstick and pencil in place.
And thats it! Obviously you can customise and use any colour to suit you or match your hair colour. The best products in my opinion would be to use either lipsticks or M.A.C acrylic paints because they have a wide variation of colours.
Finally! instead of having to trail round the horrible silver case i used to have I can now proudly walk around with a more sleek looking zuca bag ^___^
I went down to London with Tim especially to grab this….and a few other products for my kit which I will talk about in another post. Although it looks small, it actually fits more of my kit in with my brush belt, than my silver case did without my brushes!
The zuca bag is extremely sturdy….it even has a seat on top of it so you have a place to sit when your waiting for a train, bus etc! It comes with a waterproof cover, that has the M.A.C logo on the front and a zip at the top on the bag for you to pull the handle through. There are also clips on the bottom to make sure it is secure.
When you take the cover off, the same logo is on the front and is secured down with a clip on the front. It has 4 huge pockets on each side, 2 with netting over and 2 that zip up just behind the netting. There is also a smaller pocket above these on each side which I use to put my pencil sharpeners in and business cards in. The whole of the actually bag can be removed from the metal frame so that you can wash it and get it squeaky clean if it gets dirty ^__^
When you open the front of the zuca, there are 2 pockets on the inside of opening front which I use to put brow products in. The inside of the opening front fully zips open to reveal another space which I use to hold any fixing sprays and setting sprays.
There are four see-through pockets inside, which you can buy more off if you need to, and on the roof of the zuca there is a netted pocket which I use to store any random tools and products ^__^
As I said before you get 4 plastic wallets with the M.A.C logo on the front, These are great in size as they can bulk out if you overfill them and they even have a slot on the handle of them in which you can label. I use the wallets to store my skincare, eye and lip pallets, powders and blushers and lastly foundations.
This zuca bag has been one of the best investments i’ve made as a freelance makeup artist and I definitely would recommend it to all makeup artists out there!
WET LOOK SKIN -
So i’ve been doing a bit of practice again with skin since I have been frequently asked by clients for a really fresh dewy skin. So this is usually how I achieve this look, (all products are by M.A.C):
1: Cleanse the skin fully with Cleanse Off Oil
2: Moisturise the skin according to skin type
3: Mix Matchmaster foundation with 2 drops of Careblends Essential Oils
4: Mix Speed Dial lipstick with Strobe liquid for a dewy blush
5: Apply strobe liquid on the high points of the face
6: Sprtiz the skin with Fix+ to set and finish with an overall “wet look”
Dewy skin looks great with a nude lip and eye for a makeup that looks effortless, however, if you want the makeup to have a stand out feature a matte lip looks amazing with dewy skin. Here I used Magenta Lip Liner and Candy-Yum-Yum Lipstick. To give matte lipsticks the true retro matte finish, press translucent powder over the top of it. I chose pink to match my hair ^____^
Copying some looks ^__^ #macgirls #maccosmetics #makeupartist #nikkienintendo
Reblogging this from my other blog : I’ve been copying some looks from work which gives me amazing practice for liner techniques. I still remember when I struggled to put pencil liner on!
So for anyone who wants to know, the liner I use is :
M.A.C Fluidline in Blacktrack
and the brush I use is
M.A.C #210 Liner Brush
**Special offer for each client: Free pair of lashes and a lipstick on the day of their wedding!**

Sorry it’s been a while guys!
So, M.A.C Viva glam Nicky 2 lipstick, I’m actually slightly obsessed with it at the moment because it goes so well with my hair (if I mix it with the right lip liner). On it’s own it is a very pale lilac colour which can be difficult to wear, (unless thats the look your going for) but it works best when you mix it with other colours :]
My favourite way to wear it is with Vino lipliner :
I Start off by applying Nicky 2 in the centre of my lips and then drawing round the edge in vino lipliner. I then blend vino inwards to meet Nicky 2
Other great liners to wear it with are : Magenta, Nightmoth, Current, Beet, Hip ‘n’ Happy.

So as you guys who follow me know I work for M.A.C and I have an awesome opportunity to share with you that you can participate in and learn some awesome makeup techniques from our Senior Artist!
Basically it is a masters event held on our counter where me and 3 other artists will be working alongside one of the senior artists to give you guys the privilege of having a M.A.C MAKEOVER. This is a once in a very rare blue moon event and is rarely held at any mac counter or store, it’s an amazing opportunity to get stuck in with some of the best artist who work along side fashion week and celebrities.
The event is held at the M.A.C counter at the White Rose centre in Leeds so you will have to be based in or around this area, all you have to do is book in like you would a normal appointment with us except ask for the masters appointment. The event is a one day period only on the 31st of July.
